Ant Learning: Since our first tuition centre opened in Dartford in 2015, we have supported over 800 children in Greater London and from overseas to achieve desired outcomes in their academic journey.
After witnessing the impact of private tuition on her own son who is now in grammar school, our founder was inspired to support other families and give them a blueprint for their children’s reading and academic success.
Our inspiration
The name of the company comes from the observations of a famous monarch in the Ancient Near East (modern day Middle East) about an ant. The king wrote:
‘It [Ant] has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.’
Using our initiative and working hard help us succeed. As any parent would, we desire that every child enrolled with us become avid readers and takes ownership of their own learning and academic progress. Our promise is to equip every child with the needed skill, the right environment, self-belief, winning habits and resilience stemming from having a growth mindset.
Our Tutors
Ant Learning team of tutors create unique experiences for children enrolled online and at the centre, leaving the children desiring for more while also cultivating independence. Our qualified and trained tutors make time for parents after each session, so that parents can keep abreast of their children’s progress.

Lara Okpor
Lara is an Education Consultant, a Certified Reading Therapist with over seven years’ experience in Child Development and Education. She specialises in working with teachers, children and parents to find innovative, exciting and sustainable ways to transform teaching and learning. Her areas of expertise include online learning, Early Years Reading Programme, designing state of the art learning experiences for children, professional training, and community building.
In the early stages of her professional career, she worked with one of UK’s top 5 retail companies as a Senior Human Resource Consultant and garnered more than 18 years’ experience in management, resourcing, business development, learning & development, training, coaching, and mentoring.
Lara believes that every child can make progress with the right support, skills and environment.
