About Summer School 2025
Summer School 2025 gives your child the opportunity to learn in an accelerated environment over two -three weeks. The aim of the summer school this year is to ensure your child starts the next school year confidently with no learning gaps; consolidate what they have learnt so far and prepare them with the knowledge of vital topics so that they can have a head start in September. We support children taking entrance examinations like 4+, 5+, 7+, 10+ and 11+ by covering and revising essential topics.
In the afternoon, children at the centre engage in various activities such as arts & crafts, musical theatre, team sports and free play. We look forward to welcoming your child to Summer School 2025.
Why enrol your child at Summer School?
Our programmes are well regarded by parents to help their children read early, move above their current grade level in key subjects and excel at entrance exams
This accelerated reading programme helps children as young as 3½ years old learn to read in 3 weeks. Older children struggling to read are taught to fully understand and grasp our step by step scientifically proven method of phonemic awareness and synthetic phonics, which have been proven to accelerate reading and spelling skills.
Children on the reading programme make remarkable progress 2 to 4 years above their starting ages on completion. The skills gained improve other areas of their academic work.
Through the maths and science programmes, our aim is to ensure your child has a deep understanding of key maths topics that will equip them to keep up with schoolwork and move a set in school. The English programme uses different comprehension strategies to deepen and develop in children an aptitude for written and spoken word. Our creative writing workshops use guided and modelling writing formats, story organisers, with an analysis of different story elements to ensure your child is equipped with the skills needed to write compelling stories.
We have helped several children achieve success in entrance examination from 4+ to 11+ exams. Children on the 7+ and 11+ programmes cover all topics required extensively. They are prepared for the entrance exams by practising story formats and topics which are known to be repeated.
For those enrolled on our 11+ programme, a rigorous practise of different exam type questions is covered including GL, CEM, Grammar school and independent school style exam formats with particular focus on exam techniques, time keeping and when required interview preparation is done.

"The centre excels in giving feedback and information supporting learning at home. There is significant improvement in my daughter’s phonics and now blending and reading some short words over 3 weeks considering she couldn't even write or read before starting.”

"The English resources are the right resources, and the homework is appropriate as well. This has been very helpful to improve my child’s work. My daughter started at age 4 and she is now 6 years, she is exceeding in her class in English. The lesson has built up her confidence, reading skills and spelling skills.”

"We got our school of choice, thank you so so much. Even with the school closure last year, your summer school came at the right time when we really needed it to give her the tools for her 7+ exams in November. Fantastic programme, she also had fun she said.”
- Parent with child on 7+ Programme
"Summer school helped my son revise key topics and gave him exam techniques. He also improved in his speed in completing his practice papers and to an accurate level as well. Definitely helped prepare him for the exams and I will do this again for my daughter”
- Parent with child on 11+ Programme
We are very confident in the progress and results children achieve with our programme. We’ve helped over 800 children learn to read, excel at school, succeed in entrance examinations and gain entry into their school of choice.
To give you peace of mind, if after the trial session, you think we cannot help your child, you don’t have to sign up with us. Your child can use the materials provided to you at the trial session and any other free materials given.
You can also use our recommendation to develop an action plan for your child. Our ambition is always to give you value to support your child.
Does my child need to be able to read or write before they can join the Reading programme?
No, your child doesn’t need to know how to read or write, but must be 3+ to join our Reading programme. We will teach your child the correct pencil grip, letter formation and the sounds made by the letters of the alphabet.
Will my child need packed lunch?
Yes, all children will need to come with packed lunch with water or drinks to take them through the day. We are a nut free setting as we cater for all children with different allergies.
It’s the summer holiday, will my child have fun?
We love having the children learn in a fun environment, this is why we have incorporated outdoor fun activities during their 15 - 20-minute break and programme change over.
Can my child attend just one or two weeks of summer school?
We do recommend the full 3 weeks (for those in nursery and primary) and the full 2 weeks (for those in secondary) to ensure your child takes advantage of the entire programme. Children on our reading provide have to do the full 3 weeks. Children on the Maths, Science and English programmes can do a minimum of a week.
How will you ensure my child is going to learn at the right level on your programme?
Your child will undergo a friendly and brief programme specific assessment to ascertain your child’s level and an appropriate recommendation will be presented to you.
Will this work for my child as we have tried many programmes claiming to be able to help?
We have helped several children learn to read in a very short time, moved a set or 2 in Maths or English, excel at school and succeed in entrance exams, we can guarantee that the accelerated summer programme will work for your child and many children with varying abilities.
What structure will the day take?
Depending on the class your child will be in, the structure of the day is, English Lesson 1: 9-9:50am, 10-minute snack and toilet break, English Lesson 2: 10-10:50am, lunch 10:50-11:10am, Maths Lesson 1: 11:10-12 noon, 10-minute snack & toilet break, Maths Lesson 2: 12:10-1pm. The secondary school programmes will follow a similar structure.
